Our HSA
Our HSA is made up of a wonderful group of hard-working parents with all different work schedules who bring together their talents to provide practical support for our school. Those listed below volunteered to be part of our Executive Board and provide leadership this year. You may know some of them and not others. Please take some time to get to know them and feel free to ask them questions.
Co-Presidents
The co-presidents attend all meetings of the HSA, meets with the principal once a month, coordinates with the chairs of each committee of the HSA in order to promote and support them and performs any other duties needed or directed by the executive board. The president also acts as a liaison between the school staff and the HSA and reports any questions or concerns to the board.

Treasurer
The treasurer takes care of the funds for the HSA. They maintain an ongoing account of the funds and make disbursements as authorized by the board. The treasurer keeps a full and accurate account of all receipts and disbursements in the books belonging to the HSA and provides a written budget to the Executive Board at each of their meetings. They make sure that all of the funds are accounted for and deposited or distributed as needed.

The Publicity board member is responsible for publicizing all HSA events in our weekly newsletter, This Week at Stony Creek and on social media. They also maintain the HSA bulletin board and answer any questions regarding our weekly updates.

Ways & Means
The Ways and Means board members plan and implement fundraising activities for the school, including but not limited to direct donations, coupon book sales, book fairs, spirit wear sales, dine and donates, etc. We are always open to new ideas when it comes to fundraisers.

Volunteer Coordinator
The volunteer coordinator oversees the volunteers. They educate families on the volunteer opportunities at our school and put together lists for events where volunteers are needed. They communicate regularly with the chairs of HSA committees and act as an executive board liaison and report back to the board. The volunteer coordinator also coordinates room parents for each class; they choose and assign a room parent to each teacher in the beginning of the school year. They also support the room parents with any questions they may have.

Secretary
The secretary records the minutes of all meetings of Stony Creek HSA board and general meetings. They keep the minutes from each meeting in a file so that they can be accessed as needed.

Membership
The membership board member conducts member recruitment and registration in the beginning of each school year. They also plan and implement activities involving school families.
Laura Tucker
Legislative
The legislative member acts as a liaison between the HSA and the school board. They report to the HSA any school board or district administration initiatives that could affect the HSA programs or the quality of education in the district.
